This lecture was actually quite interesting. I think what it showed was that we are getting closer to a digital reality. A place where our digital designs will be combined with techniques that will allow them to be infinitly flexible and self building.
The technologies discussed are helping to organize data in a more natural way that people can understand and manage quickly. This direction is key to architecture as it allows for a more representative medium than those traditionally used.
In terms of our situated assemblies, it is correlated because it demonstrates use of logic to organize data so that new sets (methods, experiments, creations) can be formed. The technologies flow into one another and make each other viable and possible in today’s world of high tech design.
